pat is back from vacation today.
so here i am, lalala.


i went to a cav. family dinner for mimi's bday last night at mommom's.
wasn't too bad actually--
but then i had 3 rather large glasses of wine.
oops, lol.

kinda guilted mom into being d.d. for once.
i almost always am when we go out somewhere,
which is mostly by choice--
i don't usually much care about skipping empty cals
and people know how anal i am about any alcohol intake when driving...

but anyways, dinner w/ the cav.'s is one circumstance
where i find a couple of drinks to be a basic necessity.
hah.

as i rarely drink anymore regardless
+ have always had a somewhat low tolerance--
i def. had a nice buzz going from the 1st glass.

the point of all this is that,
although i wasn't like plastered or anything,
i was tipsy enough, on the way home, to finally ask my mom:
'ok, so honestly, j. and d.--
whats the deal?
are they really just "best friends"?'

lmao.

she said she is "99% sure" that yes,
they are "girlfriends" of the purely platonic sort only.
i can't say i was thoroughly impressed w/ her explanations,
as to why she was so positive,
but its really irrelevant anyway.

i was pretty much in hibernation from wed. night until yesterday afternoon.

spent unseemly #s of hrs reading 'stuff' online.
